Unable to configure the DNS server. Make sure that server is up and running and is configured correctly

This error occurs when trying to edit the DNS server configuration using the ndc utility.

To solve the problem make sure that the server is up and running and configured correctly.

  1. check path ndc in the ISPmanager configuration file.
  2. make sure that the utility is running by executing it with the status parameter.

Cause:

  1. DNS is not running. Run the DNS server from the console. View the error log (/var/log/messages or /var/log/daemon)
  2. NDC configured incorrectly. Run rndc-confgen -a. Restart the DNS server, if needed.
